Old Town & Kalemegdan
Belgrade's historic heart: the fortress above the rivers, Knez Mihailova, Republic Square and bohemian Skadarlija.
About Old Town & Kalemegdan
Stari Grad, the old town, runs from Republic Square along pedestrian Knez Mihailova to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, high above the meeting of the Sava and the Danube.
To the east, cobbled Skadarlija keeps the old kafana tradition alive with live music in the evenings, while the quiet streets of Kosančićev Venac look down over the Sava.
