About Belgrade City Library

The Belgrade City Library is housed in the former Srpska kruna hotel at the Kalemegdan end of Knez Mihailova, a handsome building where you can browse, attend readings and literary evenings, or simply rest from the crowds. In its basement, the Roman hall shows remains of ancient Singidunum, the Roman town on which Belgrade stands. Kalemegdan Park is right across the street.
