About Zemun Synagogue

The synagogue built in the mid-19th century for Zemun’s Jewish community, on the corner of Rabina Alkalaja street, named after Rabbi Judah Alkalai of Zemun. Damaged in the Second World War, the building now houses a restaurant, and the local Jewish community hopes to bring it back into its care.
