Old Zemun and Gardoš Tower

Walk·Zemun

A Danube town within the city

About Old Zemun and Gardoš Tower

Walk along the Zemun Quay beside the Danube, past fish restaurants and moored boats, then turn into the old town’s narrow streets and climb to Gardoš hill and its Millennium Tower, built in 1896. From the top the red roofs of Zemun tumble down to the river. Our advice: finish with fish soup at one of the quayside restaurants.
