About Studenica Monastery
Founded in the 12th century by Stefan Nemanja, the founder of the medieval Serbian state, Studenica is one of the greatest Serbian Orthodox monasteries, with white marble churches and famous frescoes. A UNESCO World Heritage Site in the hills west of Kopaonik.
