About National Library of Serbia

Founded in 1832, the National Library of Serbia stands beside the Temple of Saint Sava, with exhibitions, readings and a reading room open to researchers. Its old building on Kosančićev venac was destroyed in 1941 with much of its collection, and today’s modernist building on the Vračar plateau opened in 1973.
